When attending a trade show, buyers for manufacturers know their company's needs and look for vendors that can supply them. Many of them take the time to investigate options before they arrive at a trade show. By doing this, they can bypass vendors that do not have anything they need. They can instead concentrate on getting more information about the products or services on their list of acquisitions.
One of the more important machines many buyers purchase is custom designed packaging machines. These machines are manufactured specifically for each product. Working with the buyer, the vendor must determine the exact operating parameters of the machine to be produced. They must find out the packaging material, size or sizes and shapes. They must also determine the labeling needed by the manufacturer. Many packaging vendors begin this process at a trade show, and it is finished later at the customer's manufacturing plant.
